For the first time ever, one of my toys has been returned to me for repair. Poor little 'star'from next door had lost an eye. The very distressed owner was very anxious to come and see me as Star was now her very favourite toy.
Taking one look at the patient, I realised that I would not be able to save the eye, but after an hour of surgery, I came up with a solution.
I broke the news and returned Star (who had been a very good patient) to her owner, who was at first a little sceptical of the procedure I had undertaken. Didn't take long until it was widely accepted that Star was now a richly charactered individual and would be taken to kindy for show and tell.
